A Visit To The Cosmopolitan

One of my New Year's resolutions was to get out at least once a month to do the "tourist thing" and visit the Vegas Strip.  Last week my friends Gloria and Cecy accompanied me to the Cosmopolitan Hotel/Casino. It was a day of window shopping, laughing and enjoying the sights.  This hotel has a beautiful chandelier which is breathtaking.
I bought this kit a few weeks ago at Scrappy Do.  Originally it was a baby layout, but I tweaked it and made it more to my liking.  The designer paper is from Creative Imaginations.  I used my favorite Stampin' Up punch (Scallop Trim corner) on the black mounting mat. I cut the chandelier from the Home Decor cartridge by Cricut and double mounted it on black and pink card stock.  Plus I added Frosted Lace Stickles.

I learned a new technique while making this layout.  It is called "Fussy Cut."  I had to Google it to find out how to do it because the kit did not come with instructions.  So now I can say I can do the "Fussy Cut."  It sounds more like a dance step to me.
Behind the chandelier there's a pocket where I am storing the rest of the pictures I took that day.  As you can see there are no babies on this layout, only three rocking babes.  Can't wait until next month to go to the "M" Resort.

Thanks for stopping by and take some time to enjoy some creativity.
