Secret Garden

Hello blog friends, glad you stopped by.

Graphic 45 is one of my favorite paper designers and I had been anxiously waiting to buy the Secret Garden paper collection.  Last night I had a chance to play with this beautiful paper and made a couple of cards.

On this card I used the gate fold technique.

This one is a scalloped square easel card.  I added a few metal embellishments and pretty flowers.

This is the stand-up view.  I love the images on this paper.

Inside the card I added one of the lovely tags that came with the paper stack.  I think I've found my own Secret Garden.  Can't wait to see what else I can make with this beautiful collection.

Love Bug

Happy, happy Monday!!

This weekend was "crop heaven" as I attended the Faith Crop along with several friends.  The ladies that organize this crop are amazing.  They make sure everyone has a great experience!  This is one of the page layouts I completed at the crop.

There are several free make and take classes offered during the crop.  Teri Schoeni @ http://www.teriathearttohome.blogspot.com. showed us how to make this cute love bug, which was the perfect embellishment for my layout.  Thanks Teri!

Love is Like a Butterfly!

It's a great day to craft!

Today I would like to share a beautiful tag that I scrap lift from Kyandyland @ http://stores.ebay.com/Kyandyland.
The paper design is A Little Dream collection by Best Creation, Inc.

I love butterflies and this tag was made to display a few of my butterflies (punched butterflies not real ones).  The stamp verse is from Butterfly Prints by Stampin' Up and it is one of my favorites.

I fuzzy cut the print and added this little tag by K and Company and then added a small flower bud with leaves.

Can't make a tag without some pretty flowers from my stash.

The butterflies were created with Martha Stewart's monach butterfly punches.  Added pearls to give my tag that finishing touch.

This was my inspiration.  The owner of Kylandyland was kind enough to let me take a picture of her tag.  At first sight I fell in love with it!

More Butterfly Cards

Welcome!

Lately, I've been addicted to making cards with butterflies.  This is a new QuicKuts die I bought that creates a beautiful butterfly.  I multi-folded the card and used an embossing folder by Stampin' Up.

This is the view of the card when completely open.  Inside I added some small butterflies which were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.  The Stampin' Up scallop edge punch was used to create the edges of the card.

Here's a different version of the card I posted on Monday using the Bangle Chain punch by Martha Stewart.

I didn't stamp anything inside the cards.  That way, when I need one for a certain occasion I can add the verse.

Butterfly Cards

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Today I have a couple of butterfly cards to share.  I recently bought the Swallowtail butterfly stamp from Stampin' Up and I love it!  This is a large stamp which is absolutely beautiful.  I also used the new Lucky Eight Celtic punch by WeR Memory Keepers which was a gift from my friend Cecy.  Thanks Cecy!

This second card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest.  I used the Martha Stewart Bangle Chain punch along with the Little Leaves and Beautiful Wings dies by Stampin' Up.

This is an Easter card made with another of Martha Stewart's doily and Easter basket punches.

I enjoyed making all three cards.  If you have any questions, please leave me a comment.

A Ladies Diary Frame

Happy Friday everyone!

Today I would like to share a project I have been working on all week.  I may still add a few more embellishments.  Last year at a holiday craft fair, I bought this pink wired frame and set it aside.

I love Graphic 45's products and I had some left over paper from a Ladies Diary, so that's what I used to decorate the frame.

As you can see, I did end up adding some butterflies.
You can use the frame to hang cards, bows, ribbons, pictures, etc.

Valentine Treats

Hi friends!

I received this beautiful Valentine sweet treat from my friend Lisa.  She made these gorgeous candy holders and luckily I was the recipient of one of them.  Thanks my BFF!!

For my students in my Catechist of the Good Shepherd class I made these pencil gifts.  I decorated them with punched hearts, stickers and bakers twine.

Wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's Day tomorrow!

LOVE

Hello Friends!

Are ready for Valentine's Day?  In just a few days we'll be celebrating this day with loved ones.  I've enjoyed making several valentine layouts and I wanted to share my lastest.

"Love" was cut out from the Sweethearts cartridge.

Here I used the tickets by Teresa Collins.

Be My Valentine

Hi everyone!

Today I want to share a valentine 3-D project which I saw on Chiaki Haverstick's blog.  Here's a short tutorial on how I made mine just in case you want to make one yourself.

Using one sheet of red cardstock I cut two strips measuring 3-1/4" x 10" and 3-1/4" x 11.  Score and crease the short piece first @ 2", 4", 6" and 8".   Score the larger piece @ 2", 4", 6", 8" and 10".   Then glue the two pieces together at the 1" center. Cut the corners of each section at an angle to form the peaks.

Next, cut 10 pieces of designer paper @ 1-3/4" x 3".  Cut these at an angle to form the tops and glue them to each section.  I used the "Love You" paper pack by the Paper Studio which I bought at Hobby Lobby.

Punch or cut 10 hearts.  I used the pretty Martha Stewart heart punch.

Adhere the hearts to the center of each section.  I used mounting tape to give them more dimension.

I then punched a hole at the top of each section, added pretty ribbons and heart-shaped buttons.  "Be My Valentine" was cut with the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.  The large letters are 1-1/4" and the small letters are 3/4".  All the letters are coated with Burgundy Stickles.

Hope you enjoyed this project.  Have a safe and blessed weekend.

"LOVE YOU" Mini Album

Welcome Friends!!

I started this mini album last night and I am not finished yet but here's just a few of the completed pages.  Burlap seems to be very popular but for some reason I was a bit intimidated to work with it.  I've had this burlap covered chipboard album by Deja Views for several months and finally decided to use it.

Supplies used:

"Love You" paper pack by Paper Studio
Deja Views burlap album
Tim Holtz distressed doily die
Stampin' Up Little Leaves sizzlit die
Stampin' Up Two Tags die
Martha Stewart Monarch butterfly punch
Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes die

This mini was alot of fun to make and I think I may have a couple of more burlap albums in my stash.
