Paradise

Good Morning!

I still have tons of pictures from my vacation to scrap so please bear with me.  It's hard to see but the title on this page at the bottom right hand corner says "Paradise."  This beautiful designer paper by Paper House Productions is titled beaches of the world.

On the island of Half Moon Cay my family enjoyed a swim on the beach.

I used stickers by 3D Paper House and I cut the sun from the Artbooking cartridge.  Added a few seashells and burlap rope to finish my layout.  Please let me know if you like it.

Think Grow Learn

Happy Back To School!

Today my six grandchildren go back to school and I hope the best for them.  The start of the school year is very important to all children and as parents and grandparents we should encourage them to do their best.

This two-page layout was created with Close To My Heart's Artbooking cartridge.  I used "Happy Place" designer paper by Serendipity.

Enjoy your day and make sure to drive safely as our children are going and coming from school.

PARADISE

Happy Friday!

Our vacation to the Bahamas was a Paradise come true.  The glitter designer paper is from the Freshly Picked stack by DCWV.

As I continue to document our trip, I used the flip flap sheet protectors by Close To My Heart to create this layout.  On this page I used burlap netting to create the background.

By using the flip flaps I was able to  scrapbook a total of nine pictures.

On the center piece of the layout I used the Life's A Beach cartridge to cut the title "PARADISE" and then added Diamond Stickles.  Layered the title over the burlap netting along with a few sea shells.

Also used some leftover stickers by 3D Paper House.  We took over 300 pictures of our vacation so using the flip flaps makes it easier to scrap more pictures.  This is the complete layout when opened.

Have a blessed weekend.

Endless Summer

 Happy Friday!

I'm still on a high after our trip to the Bahamas, wishing it would never end.  I recently purchased the new Close To My Heart Artbooking cartridge and used it to create this layout.  The background overlays are absolutely fantastic.  Loving this honeycomb overlay.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time on our trip. The layouts are pre-designed on this cartridge; and all the images are cut off the same size.  A no brainer for me, so I don't have to decide what size to cut the images individually.

I embossed the waves and shaded several of the images.  Added a few rhinestones to give some sparkle to my layout and I am done!

Life's A Beach

I'm back!
Our trip to the Bahamas was a dream come true.  As you can see I went with my daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters.

This was a four-day cruise which took us to Nassau and Half Moon Cay.  We travelled on Carnival Cruise, the Ecstasy ship.  We were impressed with the service and the amenities we were provided.

On Half Moon Cay the family enjoyed the ocean waters.

We thoroughly had a ball during our trip.  Great memories were made and over 300 pictures will remind me of this fantastic vacation.

Halloween Double-Woven Accordian Scrapbook

Good morning and Welcome!

Last week, Sandi Genovese shared the directions on how to make this great double-woven accordion scrapbook.  I decided to make mines a Halloween scrapbook.  You can follow her tutorial @
http://www.sandigenovese.com/double-woven-accordion-scrapbook/   Below are the cut pieces before you embellish.

To decorate my scrapbook I used The Witches Brew paper stack by DCWV.  I embellished it with lots of clear and black rhinestones.

When you open the book it unfolds into an accordion style.  The base of the book measures 6" x 17-1/2."

This is the back of the book.  I enjoyed making this project so much that I plan to make another one with a different theme.  Be sure to view the tutorial by Sandi.

Close To My Heart Mini Album

It's the start of an exciting week for me!  This week I will be going on a cruise to the Bahamas with my daughter and her family.  The title of this mini album says it for me, "Just Be" grateful and joyous that God is blessing me!

At our Close To My Heart quarterly meeting, my up line Karen Morris @ http://awesomescrapbooks.blogspot.com had us recreate this mini album that she designed.

We used the Dimensional Elements Album Pages (#Z1791) for the base of the album.

Karen used the Artiste and Artbooking cartridges to cut the pages for the album and other shapes to embellish it.

The Artiste cartridge coordinates with the chipboard album pages.

Again, I am grateful for the start of a wonderful week.

4 x 4 Accordion Mini Album

Good Morning!

Yesterday I had my monthly Close To My Heart hostess workshop and this is the project my friends/customers made.  This 4" x 4" Accordion Mini Album was made using the Chantilly paper line by CTMH.  The belly band that holds the album together was decorated with the Martha Stewart doily punch.

Three sheets of white cardstock measuring 8" x 8" are scored and glued together to form the base of the album.  Then the inside is decorated with designer paper and cardstock.  Approximately 16 photos can be mounted on the different squares and triangles.

Here's another sample that measures 5" x 5" and tied with a pretty ribbon.  These albums make great gift ideas.  So get started with your Christmas gifts by making a few yourself.
