Listen To The Spirit

We've made to the end of another week!

Three of my granddaughters and one of my nephews celebrated their First Holy Communion two years ago and I finally got to scrapbook this event.

Using lots of washi tape I was able to create this waterfall effect.  There are a total of 13 pictures on this layout.

I used tabs to easily lift each of the pictures.

This was quite a special event and I'm glad I was finally able to document it.

Supplies used:

Inspired Heart cartridge
washi tape
We R Memory Keepers Fancy Scroll Lucky 8 punch
Recollections flowers

Hope you have a great Super Bowl weekend and keep on scrapping!

Look Whoo's Here!

Happy Wednesday friends!

This is a photo of the granddaughter of my friend Gloria.  Such a cute baby I could not resist making a page layout for her.  I hope my friend likes what I did.

The page layout was made using both the Artiste and Artbooking cartridges.  I especially love the overlays that you can cut with the Artbooking cartridge.

Both the Artiste and Artbooking cartridges are exclusive to Close To My Heart.  You can visit me @ http://www.erlindastamps.ctmh.com to purchase these cartridges.

Thanks for stopping by and please visit again.

Birthday Girl

It's Monday again, the start of a new week and almost the start of a new month.  Where did January go?  I went to a birthday crop for my friend Lisa this weekend and it was a lot of fun.  Getting together with friends always lifts my spirits .  I accomplished several pages of scrapbooking.

This is another birthday event which happened over three years ago.  My granddaughter Angie celebrated her 9th birthday.

Birthdays are always lots of fun and more so when we can scrapbook at the party.  Thanks to Dawn for hosting Lisa's  birthday crop.

Supplies used:

Martha Stewart Eyelet Doily punch

My Favorite Recipe

Good Wednesday Morning!

On Monday, I attended a She's Crafty Party at my friend Adriana's house where all her guests enjoyed making their own signs.  The wood and vinyl is pre-cut to your choice and then you get to paint it the color you want.  When I got home, I embellished it.

I used the Spellbinder's butterfly to decorate my sign.

I also added black rhinestone swirls by Recollections and a pretty Jolee's flower.

For more information on how to attend or book a party contact Lillie Rodriguez @ https://www.facebook.com/ShesCraftyHomeCraftParties.

Enjoy your day and keep on crafting!

Battle Of The Books

Hello blog friends!

Hope your weekend involved some scrapbooking time.  I was able to create this layout of my granddaughter Angie's Battle of the Books competition.  Although her team did not win it was a great feeling seeing the "Mustache Girls" give it their best.

Angie's team wore mustaches to show their team spirit.  I cut out the letters for my title from the Artbooking cartridge.

The mustaches and stars were cut with the Artiste cartridge.

Angie's younger sister Natie is always a little clown as you can see.  The whole family was very proud of Angie's accomplishment.

Hope you have a great Martin Luther Day!

"LOVE" Mini Album

Happy Friday friends!

True to my New Year's resolution I only used products from my stash.  Trying to not buy or visit my favorite scrapbook stores is turning out to be very hard, but not impossible.  Here's a 6 x 6 burlap mini album I've had for several months.  I decided to make a "love" album.

I own six of Julie Nutting's doll stamps and was very tempted buy more after seeing her new collection.  Here's  the link to the new Julie Nutting's dolls:
http://prima.typepad.com/prima/2014/01/presenting-the-julie-nutting-collection.html.  Rarely have I used the stamps I own, so that has to change before I buy anymore.

The album came with six chip boards and the front and back covers.  I'm just going to share a few of the finished pages.  I used an abandoned Sprinkles craft box by Websters Pages to decorate it.  The craft box contained 36 designer papers and very pretty embellishments.

I also pulled out several of my dies I had not used in awhile.  Here I used the scalloped square and two tags dies to create a photo mat and pocket for tags.

The top note die was one of my favorites but I had not used it in a long time.  It makes a great photo mat.

Hope you enjoyed my project and I want to challenge you to use an item from your stash that you haven't used in quite a while.  Have a blessed weekend!

Sisters

Welcome!

My granddaughters Angie and Natie are typical sisters.  They can be fighting one moment and then they can be very loving the next.  This is one of those moments that love is in their hearts.

On this particular day we went to the Waffle Cafe.  The waffles tasted so good that maybe that's why they were so happy.

Teddy Bear Clinic

Good Morning!

It's Friday and I would probably be on my way to the 2014 CHA Show in Anaheim, California, today.  Unfortunately, because of my health I had to cancel my plans.  So here I stay at home cropping.

Last year, I took my granddaughters to the Teddy Bear Clinic at the Centennial Hospital.  They had loads of fun dressing up, taking x-rays of their teddy bears and learning about health issues.

I know they are looking forward to going again to this annual event.

Supplies used:
Artbooking cartridge
A Child's Year cartridge
EK punch

Have a blessed weekend.

My Little Butterfly

Happy Wednesday!

I'm finally getting back to feeling well.  Lately, my health has been an issue and for that reason I have not been scrapbooking or blogging.  But today I'm sharing a page that I made yesterday.

My inspiration came from Stacey Cohen's design in the latest issue of the Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking Magazine.  I used all Martha Stewart punches to create the background.

Keeping with my New Year's resolution I used everything from my stash.

The chipboard pieces are by K and Company which I have been holding onto for over a year.  I stamped and distressed the pieces with Tim Holtz' walnut stain distress ink.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

New Year 2014

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I hope 2014 is starting out good for everyone.  Mines' off to a rough beginning.  I took a fall a few days ago and landed in the hospital, but I'm recovering well.  Today I am able to share my shabby chic New Year's layout, hope you like it!

I used The Avenue Clocks paper by BoBunny and a lot of my own stash at home.  One of my resolutions is to shop less and use what I have.  Hope I can keep it up.

My photo mat was created with the Martha Stewart Garden Trellis punch using a tutorial by Becca @ http://www.amazingpapergrace.com/becca-bit-perfect-mited-frame-using-border-punch/

I also used the font from the Artbooking cartridge for my title.

Let's make 2014 a better scrapbooking year!
