Perpetual Calendar Journal

The start of a new week and I want to welcome you to my blog!

I borrowed this idea from Pinterest.  This is the link:  www.designsponge.com/2010/.../diy-project-vintage-postcard-calend...  I immediately liked the idea of keeping track of what I do each day.

This daily journal only requires that you write down one thing that happened that day.  It is perpetual, so you just choose the card date, write down the year, then write down that one thing. It can be anything from someone's birthday to what TV show you watched that night. It is something simple...short, sweet, and to the point. The fun thing will be to look back and see what you were doing on that day over the past few years.

I used Tim Holtz's On the Edge File Tabs die to make the monthly dividers.  You will also need (180) 4 x 6" lined index cards (one for each day of the month) that go behind each divider.  On the back of each divider you can also keep track of birthdays and anniversaries for that month.
Hope your week is filled with some fun crafting moments.

Thoughts of Encouragement

Our words have creative power.  Whenever we speak something, either good or bad, we give life to what we are saying.  Scripture says, "We will eat the fruit of our words."  That means we will get exactly what we've been saying.

Trick or Treat Shadow Box

Good Friday morning!

I came across this project on Pinterest posted by Liz @
http://www.lizspaperloft.com and couldn't resist making one myself.

Of course, I changed it up a bit by adding the spooky tree and black cat.

This shadow box is now part of my Halloween decor.  The Cricut cartridges used to create this project were Happy Hauntings and A Child's Year.

Thanks for stopping by and have a safe and blessed weekend.

Countdown to October 31

 Hello blog friends,

Halloween is a week away and this countdown to Halloween album is finally done.  I've been working on it for about a month and I was worried I would not finish before October 31st.

The bulk of this album kit was given to me by Teri Schoeni @

The album is very lengthy, 31 pages long,  so I won't be showing all of it.  I'll share some pages today and if you come back tomorrow I'll post a few more.

I did alot of tearing paper as you can see.  Each page came with a small envelope and tag to journal.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you come back to see the rest of my album.

SINK OR SWIM

The start of a new week and I have another summer layout to share.  My friend Gloria invited us over for a dip in her pool back in August before school began.

My granddaughters had a ball!!

I want to thank Gloria for inviting us to go swimming.  We'll remember that day for a long time.

Have a happy and blessed day.

Penny Black Christmas cards

 Happy Friday!

I started making my Christmas cards and came up with these two samples.  I used Penny Black stamps which are so cute.

Even though I am not a cat lover, this little cat caught my attention.

I do not like mice either, but these little critters  are adorable.

The center step card measures 5 1/2" x 11".

This is the side view.  Instructions on how to make this card can be found on Splitcoaststampers.

Splish Splash!

Good Wednesday morning!

Here's another 2-page layout that I made at the Zion Scrapbooking Retreat.  My two granddaughters and their friend loved splashing in the pool.

You can see that these bathing beauties enjoyed a day of Splish Splash.

Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day.

Christmas Cheer

Welcome back!

I've been missing in action for a few days.  I attended a Scrapbooking Retreat in Zion, Utah.  It was wonderful crafting with old and new friends.  Here's a couple of Christmas layouts I worked on.

I hand cut the Christmas trees from another piece of designer paper.  I loved the way the layouts turned out.

Mt. Zion was breathtaking.

Thanks for coming back to visit.

First Christmas card

Good Wednesday morning!

I thought I would take a break from Halloween projects and decided to make my first Christmas card of the season.

This is a center step card which measures 5 1/2" x 11".  I used the fireplace dimensional sticker by Jolee's and paper from the Christmas combo stack by DCWV.

This is the side view of my card.  I got the instructions on how to make this card on Splitcoaststampers.
This is the link:

Enjoy your day and come back soon.

High Heel Shoes

Welcome!

We girls can't have too many shoes, can we?  I picked up the Princess Party cartridge at Michaels on sale and I had fun making these pretty shoes.

Using the Fit to Page function key the image cut at 7 1/2 inches and  I used sticky tape to adhere the shoe.

Let's kick up our heels and craft something this week.

Halloween Mini Journal

WOW, we made it through another week.

Today I want to share a mini journal that was part of the  S-E-I September kit.  The corrugated banner pieces came with the kit, but the Halloween embellishments are from my own stash.  The mini measures 3" x 4 1/4" and I added 9 pages, but you can do less or more.

Enjoy and have a great and blessed weekend!!
