Pretty as a Peacock

Good Monday morning!

This week one of my best friends is celebrating her birthday and I made this card for her.
"Happy Birthday Clydine!!"

Pretty as a Peacock is the paper collection by Recollections and it looks very pretty on the tri-shutter card.

The butterfly stickers are by K and Company.

A few rhinestones by Recollections, a pretty flower and the verse "happy birthday" by Stampin' Up and my card is ready to mail out.

Enjoy your day and have a blessed week.

Secret Garden Canvas Frame

Welcome!

Today I wanted to share a canvas frame created with Graphic 45's Secret Garden collection.   I bought a 5" x 7" white canvas at the .99 Cent Store, distressed it with Tim Holtz broken china ink and then decorated it with this beautiful paper line.

To create the window I used the Spellbinders Window Two die and then added pearls by Recollections. The little girl was fuzzy cut and added to the frame.

I hot glued pearls all around the frame and added tiny flowers from my stash.  This was a project I enjoyed making and I love the results.

Have a safe and blessed weekend.

Mother's Day Butterfly Card

Good morning friends!

I want to share a card that my friend Cecy @ http://cecygarcia.blogspot.com/ showed me how to cut and make.  As many of you know, I love butterflies so this Mother's Day card is packed with butterflies.

The top of the card was punched with the EK butterfly border punch.  The other butterflies are the small and large monarch Martha Stewart punches.  Also used the Framelits Labels collection by Stampin' Up.

The stamped verses are by Stampin' Up.  Added some pretty pearls by Recollections to the butterflies.  Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day.

Old Jalopy

Good morning friends!

This past Saturday I attend the 3rd anniverary celebration of  Scrappin' Time scrapbook store.  It was a great event with several free make and take projects.  This layout was one of the projects that Sara from Scrappin' Time shared with us.  We were supplied with the 12 x 12 designer paper, the old jalopy cutout, the bingo card and ticket.

Once I got home I was inspired to add my own small touches.  I decorated the jalopy with flowers and rhinestones.  I had seen this idea on Beatriz' blog @

The banner was made with burlap and the Spellbinders scallop oval die.

The rhinestone swirls and flowers are by Recollections.

Have a great week crafting!

Cowgirl

It's Friday!!

It seems like the week just flew by so quickly, but fortunately I was able to get in some crafting.  A few weeks ago I came across the Bo Bunny Praire Chic collection and it was love at first sight.

The title and rope were cut with the Old West cartridge.
The pink and blue flowers are by Prima.

The chipboard elements from this collection are so pretty.
The boots are decorated with clusters of flowers, rhinestones and one of Teri Schoeni's butterfly pins.

Have a safe and blessed weekend everyone!

Mother's Day Gift Card Holder

Welcome!

Today I have another Mother's Day project.  This is a gift card holder in the shape of a purse.  Who wouldn't love a purse with a little bit of cash.

The designer paper is from the Floral Foliage paper pad by Recollections.  It's beautifully decorated with lots of butterflies.

When you open the purse, you'll find a gift card inside. Or you can add a favorite verse or poem for that special lady.

At the bottom I stamped "Happy Mother's Day" by Stampin' Up.

Tutorial:

The base of the card measures 5-1/2" x 10-1/4" and is scored at 2" and 6-1/4".  Decorate the purse with your favorite paper and embellishments.  Use 9-inches of ribbon for the handle. To close the purse use a small round Velcro.

Wonderful Mother Tri-shutter card

Hi Everyone!

Hope you had a great weekend.  On Friday night I had a card class where we made a Mother's Day card.  The ladies were excited to learn how to make the tri-shutter card.

The designer paper is from the Secret Garden collection by Graphic 45.  This card fits perfectly into a medium envelope (5-3/4" x 4-3/8").

Both stamp verses, the scallop edge  and butterfly punches are by Stampin' Up.

LOVED

Hello Friends!

We've come to the end of the week and what a blessed week it has been.  I have been sharing with you the paperline Chantilly by Close to My Heart and here's another page layout titled "Loved."

This is what you would call a pocket layout. I've only made one photo mat, but you can add several to your layout in different sizes.

This is a new toy I picked up at Joann's.  It's the beautiful  Butterflies and Flower Vine Sizzix die.  I added some tiny pearls which you can see started falling off (lol).

Can't make a layout without adding a few butterflies and a pretty Prima flower that just happened to have the same color combination of the CTMH Chantilly paper.

The letters were cut with the Cricut Storybook cartridge and distressed with Tim Holtz' vintage photo ink.

I hope you live your life feeling Loved and loving those around you!  Have a safe and blessed weekend.

Chantilly Cards

Welcome!

Today I have three cards made with Close To My Heart's (CTMH) Chantilly paper packet.  The sentiment was stamped with CTMH's For a Friend (D1542--$17.95, set of 9) My Acrylix stamps.

The butterflies were also cut with the same paper and adorned with Pink Glitter Gems
.(Z1807--$3.95, 108 pcs).

For this card I used scraps of paper leftover from yesterday's page layout and added a button from the Chantilly Assortment (Z1814--$5.95).

On this last card I used lots of buttons, a small tag, baker's twine and a butterfly to embellish it.

Have a fun day crafting!

Secret Garden zig zag card

Happy Friday!

Another week has come and gone and Spring has arrived.  The paper collection the Secret Garden by Graphic 45 has such pretty Spring flowers I decided to use it for this project.

This is the belly band that holds the card together.

I made this double zig zag card by following the tutorial on Marianne's Papirverden blog.

The center of the card lifts up to reveal more of the garden paper.  I loved making this card and will definitely make another one soon.
