Adorable Baby

Good Monday morning!

Just want to say I had a wonderful weekend.  Celebrated my granddaughter's 8th birthday, attended a 12-hour crop at Scrappin' Time and went to see the movie "The Lucky One." It was a beautiful love story which I enjoyed.  So with that said I hope to slow down a bit this week.

I was given this adorable Lullaby Collection by KaiserCraft and a set of baby stickers for attending the crop at Scrappin' Time.  I decided to use them to create this layout.  The pink ribbon has little girl dresses which are so pretty.

We were also given a free demonstration on the new Lucky 8 punches by We R Memory Keepers.  Using the Scalloped Retro punch and white cardstock I punched out the background scallop circle for my l/o.

This was one of a few projects I was able to complete.  I'll share the other projects later this week.

Oh, one last thing, the winner of my blog candy is ....

Drum roll ......

Have a blessed day everyone.

IN STITCHES

Happy Friday!

I don't want to give the impression that I am a seamstress, but I like the craft and admire those who can sew.  I picked up some cute 3-D stickers with sewing elements at Hobby Lobby the other day and it inspired me to do a layout.  The funny thing is I didn't even use the stickers on my layout.  I will be giving the stickers away, just check below.

The phrase "In Stitches" was cut from the Country Life cartridge.

The sewing machine was cut from the Heritage cartridge. The small dress form and small scissors were cut from the Wall Decor and More cartridge.

The large dress form and spools were cut with Tim Holtz's Sewing Room die. The scissors with buttons and spools is the Tim Holtz Sewing Edge die.

This border effect was created with two Martha Stewart punches.

Other supplies used:
We R Memory Keepers Tres Elegant Fancy paper.
 Stampin' Up Bakers twine
 rhinestones
ruler ribbon
 pink plastic adhesive buttons

Since I didn't use the stickers, I am going to raffle them off.  Just leave me a comment and I will draw a name on Monday and announce the winner.

Have a safe and blessed weekend.

When God's glory comes into your life, your prespective changes.  Everything looks and feels differently.  Situations turn out differently.  God's glory consumes what is not good, right, or pleasing.  It displays His love for you.

EXPLORE

The days are beginning to get really hot and going on a bike ride was one of my favorite things to do in my younger years.  My granddaughter Angie reminds me of me back then.

Exploring the neighborhood on a bike is such a simple pleasure and priceless.

I love the cut of this bicycle from the Summer In Paris cartridge.  The bicycle was cut at 4-inches.

Other supplies:

Home Decor cartridge
My Mind's Eye Portobello Road collection
Black Diamond Stickles
Recollections flowers

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Mother's Day Cascading Card

Happy Monday to everyone!

I'm still walking on Cloud 9 after participating in a very successful Scrapbook Exchange at the Texas Station Casino here in Las Vegas.  While at the event I saw one of the other vendor's displaying a Cascading card and it was instant love for me.  I could not wait to try my hand at making one myself.

I researched the Internet and found a fantastic tutorial by
France Martin.  For step-by-step instructions visit her @ http://www.frenchiestamps.com/2012/02/cascading-card-easy-way.html

I admit this was not the easiest card to make, but I love it and will try making a few more.  It should get easier the more I make.

Supplies used:

Stampin' Up (SU) Delicate Doilies stamp set
SU Messages for Mom stamp set
SU Beautiful Wings embosslit die
SU framelits labels collection
Martha Stewart scoring board
White 12x12 card stock
color pencils
Versamark
Black embossing powder
paper cutter

I will share my next cascading card later this week.
Have a great day and please come back again!

Hog Heaven

Just before Spring break, my grandchildren's school treated us to a special performance called the "E-I-E-I Oops!"  They dressed up with piggy noses and it was quite a performance.

For this page layout I used the Cricut Country Life cartridge  for the title and the piggies.  The paper flowers with rhinestones are by Studio 18.  The scallop circle background was cut with the Lucky 8 punch.

Hope you liked my piggies!

Play Ball !!

Let's Play Ball!

My 9 year-old grandson Palermo is a devoted baseball player.  I was able to attend his first game of the season and captured these pictures.

I used the Baseball Cricut cartridge to cut these images.

The letters for "Palermo" were cut with the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.  I could just imagine what was on Palermo's mind that day--he wanted to make a Home Run!

Thanks for taking time to visit.

2012 Easter

Glad you stopped by to visit.

I made another layout to finish scrapbooking my Easter pictures.  Last week, Michael's had all Easter items at 60% off with an additional 20% coupon.  As you can imagine, I went crazy buying.  I bought tons of embellishments.

All the foam embellishments are by Recollections which I mounted onto a white large doily.  The pennant was cut with Stampin' Up's punch and the 2012 numbers were cut with the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.

My grandchildren were a joy to watch as they looked for the Easter eggs.  I also used the Martha Stewart punch to create a topper.

I loved this bunny and decided to have him holding onto a flying kite.  I think he's cute!  Hope you enjoyed your visit and please come back again.

HOPPY EASTER!

Happy Friday!
Well we made it through another week.  Last week we were preparing for our Easter celebration, and today I want to share a few of the pictures I took of my family.

I used the Celebrate with Flourish and A Child's Year cartridges for the title and images.

At our Easter celebration we played a few fun games in addition to the traditional egg hunt with my grandchildren. Their smiles and laughter filled my heart.

Other supplies used:

Spellbinders scallop shape die
Martha Stewart punch
pearls
white egg-shaped doilies
white ribbon

Have a safe and blessed weekend.

ONSIE MINI ALBUM

Welcome and happy Wednesday!

Today I'm posting the last four pages of my Onsie mini album.  On this page I continue to use Graphic 45's Little Darlings paper embellished with white lace, Martha Stewart punch and mini flowers.  The Sent From Heaven image forms a pocket with a tag inside for a picture.

I love the look of this page with the yellow picture frame cut from a Spellbinder die.

I am sorry for the lighting on this picture.  It was the best I could capture.  There's a pocket with two tags for pictures.

This baby image is adorable and I love it.  I used one of the Little Darlings stickers,  the Precious Angel ticket for the title.  This is the last page.  I hope you liked this mini album.

Enjoy your day and please come back to visit.

LITTLE ONE MINI ALBUM

Good Tuesday morning!

I have another project made with Graphic 45's Little Darlings paper.  I saw this project on Graphic 45's blog and it inspired me to make my version of this little onesie mini album.  The onesie shape and "Little One" were cut from the New Arrival cartridge.

The baby carriage was also cut from the New Arrival cart.  Used tiny flowers, lace, rhinestone brad and mini metal hanger to embellish.

The scalloped picture frame was cut with a Spellbinders die.

Another picture frame cut with a Spellbinders die.

Don't want to make this post too long, so I will post the other four sides of my onesie album tomorrow.

Have a great day and thanks for visiting.

Easter Sunday

Today I have the Monday blahs because I had too much fun yesterday, Easter Sunday!  These are my grandchildren plus one.

It was a day that I will remember for a long time.  We ate alot of good food, played games, ate again, did the Easter Egg Hunt and then ate some more.  All that eating has me not feeling so well today.  In preparing for our family Easter gathering I didn't have time to craft but come back tomorrow for a new post.

Have a beautiful and happy day!

Easter Basket

GOOD FRIDAY!

This is the start of the Easter weekend and I hope everyone enjoys it.  My family is getting together at my home and I wanted to make an Easter centerpiece for our table.
I cut out the basket and paper eggs from the Doodlecharms cartridge with pretty paper from my stash.  Then decorated it with pretty pink ribbon, grass and plastic eggs.

This is the back view of the basket.  I cut 2 pieces for the basket at 8" along with 2 shadow pieces and the eggs at 6",  5" and 4".  The inside is a box made with an 8 1/2" x 11" brown cardstock.  Super easy to make and it makes a  very pretty centerpiece.

Thanks for stopping by and "HAPPY EASTER" everyone!

LOVE

Good Wednesday morning!

I'm not quite sure what they call this technique but I decided to call  it  "creative metal."   My friend Cecy showed me how to do this technique and I want to thank her.  You can visit her at http://cecygarcia.blogspot.com/.

The layout is made with a 12 x 12 chipboard, chipboard images and aluminum tape.  Then it is scored to give your images an embossed effect.

Once you glue, score and paint the layout you can embellish it.  I used rhinestones, lot and lots of pearls, a few flowers, white ribbon, distressed doily, metal key and a metal frame.

I cut the edge of a doily, distressed it with Tim Holtz black ink and added pearls.  Then added a strip of lace ribbon.

Hope you enjoyed this project and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to leave a comment.  Have a great day!
