Vacation Bible School

Good Monday morning!

Just wanted to let you know that this week I will be so busy with my church's Vacation Bible School that I won't be posting any projects.

This year the bible theme is Paul's dangerous journey to Athens.  We have 70 children participating from the ages of 5 to 10 years old.  Our church is blessed with approximately 50 teenagers who volunteered to guide the children.

I look forward to VBS and will be concentrating on helping out with crafts for the kids.

HAPPY !

Happy Wednesday!

This past weekend was like a treasure hunt for me.  I found several wonderful punches that I could not live without. The first was the Martha Stewart circle edge punch starter kit which included the eyelet doily punch, then came the layered flower punch and then the flower arches punch.  On this layout I used two of those punches.

This is a photo of three of my granddaughters sharing a "happy" moment.  I also used the Martha Stewart monarch butterfly punches.

Both the title sticker and rhinestone swirls are by Recollections.

The pretty flowers are by Martha Stewart and Recollections.

This is a view of my new punch and a few other doilies I created with it.  You can punch circular borders in 7 sizes from paper up to 12 inches.

I tweaked this sketch to create my layout.  You can find tons of beautiful sketches on http://www.scrapbook.com/gallery/sketch/0/1.html

Our Princess

Hi everyone, hope you had a safe and happy weekend.

I continued to play with the First Few Years cartridge and made this layout of my granddaughter Alee.  I used the design found on page 40.

The letters for Alee's name were also cut from this cartridge.  The font design is very pretty.  Added a few swirls with rhinestones from the Tim Holtz elegant flourishes die.

I'm more and more convinced that I will have to add this cartridge to my collection.

Have a very blessed week.

HAPPY DAY!

Happy Friday Friends!

Today, I want to share a quick layout created with a new Cricut cartridge named The First Few Years.  My friend Isela was kind enough to let me play with her cartridge.
My 11-year old granddaughter Angie took a cake decorating cake class and this was her first cake.

There are approximately 50 page layouts on this cartridge.  I tweaked the one found on page 36.

I added a few extra embellishments, like this cute cupcake sticker and the white icing border by Jolee.

Well I've got to go.  I want to make a few more layouts before I have to return this great cartridge to my friend.

Friends Forever

Happy Wednesday!

This month's Close To My Heart (CTMH) special is a free mini banner kit with a $25 purchase which includes a CTMH stamp set.  I used part of the banner kit to create this mini album.

I used both the Chantilly and Dream Pop paper collections.  This was an ideal way to use up left over scraps.

I also used stickers by Recollections.

I left space for both journaling and mini pictures.

The kit comes with 10 pennants in two sizes and 9 rings.

I used the small pennants for this mini and I plan to use the larger ones to make a banner.

You can also purchase the banner kit separately.  I hope you liked this mini album and will want to make one yourself.

THE GRADUATE 2012

Good morning friends!

This weekend I went to Scrappin' Time to attend a 7-hour crop and I was able to finish these three graduation layouts.  This is my oldest son Eddie and last year he made me so proud when he received his Masters' Degree.

As a family we relished in his accomplishments.  My granddaughter Alee was so happy and proud of her daddy.

It took me a year to scrapbook these precious pictures but I finally got them done.

Now I want to announce the winner of my blog candy and to thank those who left me comments during the past couple of weeks.  On Friday I shared my 1,000th post.  The winner is Penny Silva.

SWEETIE

Whoopee its Friday and the kids are out of school!!

My grand kids are out of school and I'm trying to find things for them to do so they won't say those dreaded words, "I'm bored."

I thought I would share some things I did when I was their age.  Do you remember playing with paper dolls?  I loved paper dolls. This is a layout I made with the paper doll stamp by Close To My Heart.  I also used the Dream Pop paper collection by CTMH.

This is the Paper Doll stamp set (#D1547).  My granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed stamping, coloring and cutting their own paper dolls.  This turned out to be a great activity for them.

I can't believe this is actually my 1,000th post.  I will announce the winner of my blog candy on Monday.  Remember to leave me a comment to be entered.

BEAUTIFUL

Happy Wednesday!!

I have another Flip Flap page layout to share with you.  This one is made using Graphic 45's Fashionista paper collection.

The side car embellishments are by Recollections.  Also used Spellbinders Fantastic Flourish Three die.

"Beautiful" is the title for my layout using Recollections epoxy alphabet stickers.

Once opened completely this is the full view.  With the flip flaps by Close To My Heart you can create this fantastic layout.

The layout is decorated with Tim Holtz' old jalopy die and the dress form is from the French Manor cartridge.

The dress form is decorated with some black tulle and red flower rhinestone.

Here I used Tim Holtz' distressed doily die and then added some tags by Recollections.

Hope you enjoyed this layout.  I will be posting my 1,000th post on Friday.  Leave me a comment for the chance to win some blog candy.
