MY OWN SMASH !!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

I finally gave in and purchased a "Smash Journal" by K and Company.  I had seen them at Michaels and with my 50% coupon  it was a perfect purchase.  As you can see, I decorated the front cover with beautiful images also by K and Company.

This is what the Smash looks like.  I purchased the pink one, but it also comes in the following colors:  Lime green, orange, black, red, and light blue.  For more information you can view this video @ http://www.michaels.com/SMASH-BOOK/KcSB1Ym2290,default,pg.html

Of course, if you know me I could not resist making my first page with coupon pockets.  I used kraft paper and the Wild West cartridge for the letters.

On the following two pages I added kraft paper pockets for miscellaneous items.  I decorated the two pages with another of my favorite things "butterflies."  The journal has 40-pages which gives you a large range of creativity.  You can say its a work in progress.  There is so much you can do with this journal.   I've only started a few pages, but I wanted to share this project idea.

I love this page.  I haven't decorated it, this is how it comes, and I like what it says.

Hope you enjoyed this post and watching the video.  I invite you to visit again.

LOVE, ADORE, DREAM!

Here we are again, good Monday morning!

Hope you had a good weekend.  I'm thankful I did.  I found this art-stitched designer paper by Prima on sale.  It's hard to see but the paper has alot of stitching which I loved.

The black edging on the left side is part of the paper and there's stitching around the flowers and the photo mat.  I used Tim Holtz adage tickets and inked the edges with his tea dye distress ink.

Here I used Tim Holtz' Caged Bird die and added Rebel Shine small rhinestone drops.  All the bird, butterfly and flower adhesive chipboard are by K and Company.  The rhinestone swirl is by Colorbox.

As you can see I continue to use the heart doilies where I will place a picture. Also added decorative pins by K and Company to the flowers.

Tim Holtz makes some great embellishments.  These keys are one of my favorites.

Thank you for visiting.

Thoughts of Encouragement

Listening is a lost art today.  Many of us are so concerned about expressing what we think or believe that we just don't listen closely to others--or even to God.

Valentine Candy Treats

Happy, happy Wednesday!

Hope you started your day with joy in your heart.  I was crafting with two of my granddaughters last night.  This is what we were making.

Very simple to make, all you need are a few paper towel or toilet tissue rolls.  This makes a great recycling project.  Cut some designer paper 4" by 6", add glue and  wrap it around the roll.

I punched a scallop circle and glued it to the bottom of the tube.  Decorate with ribbons, stickers, etc.  Add candy and get ready to bring a smile to someone special.

Happy to have shared this idea with you.

"LOVE" ROSETTE

Good Tuesday morning and welcome!

If you haven't made these rosette flowers I hope you will be inspired to create one.  My rosette measures 10 inches in diameter.  My pictures will go on the hearts and scallop square mats.

The small rosettes were a gift from my friend Cecy @ http://cecygarcia.blogspot.com/

Supplies used:

Stampin' Up large Scallop Circle punch
Stampin' Up Scallop Trim Border punch
Martha Stewart score board
Colorbox Metallic Borders
Spellbinders butterflies, hearts and scallop square dies
Target's valentine designer paper
sticky tape and glue gun
This sample was the inspiration for my own page layout. It can be found in Stampin' Up's Occasions Mini Catalog.   I made my rosette with the score board, but Stampin' Up's new Designer Rosette die is definitely on my "wish list" to buy.  Click the link below for a great tutorial on how to make your own rosettes.

Thanks for visiting.

Thoughts of Encouragement

Each morning, forgive the people who have hurt you, let go of your disappointments.  Each new morning receive God's mercy ad forgiveness for the mistakes you've made, and forgive others for the hurts they have inflicted on you.  Today focus on your possibilities; focus on what you can change rather than what you cannot change.
