Christmas Card Box

Woohoo, the start of a new week and we're getting closer to Christmas.

I'm finding my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board to be one of my favorite crafting tools.  Not only can you make different size envelopes, but also cards,  file folders and now a card box holder.

An excellent tutorial on how to create this card box can be found on Frenchie's blog @ http://www.frenchiestamps.com which she posted on September 17, 2013.

You can fit about 8 cards with envelopes in this box.  I think it would make a great gift to make.  I plan to make a few to sell at our upcoming church Christmas Boutique.

Happy Halloween Side-Step Card

Happy Halloween!!

I found this tutorial on how to make a side-step card on Mary's blog @ http://cardztv.blogspot.com/.  Her card was super cute, and I was inspired to make my own.

I used the Create a Critter 2 cartridge to make the cute witch owl, pumpkin, tree and the Happy Halloween verse.  The background paper is the Halloween Borders by Recollections.

This is a photo of how the step card looks before you decorate it.  The base is 5 1/2" by 8 1/2", scored at 2" on the long side, turn then scored at 4 1/4" across.  The following score lines only go up to the 2" score line: 2 1/4", 5 1/4",
6 1/4" and 7 1/4".  Make a cut from the 2 1/4" to the 7 1/4" score lines along the left 2" side.  That is the only cut you need to make.  Then accordion fold starting with a mountain fold, then valley and so on. Crease all folds and then you're ready to decorate.

Looks a bit complicated but its not.

Have a fun weekend and please come back on Monday.

Absolutely

Happy Wednesday!

At our Creative Day workshop we made this album which is "Absolutely" fabulous.  All the elements were cut from the Artbooking Cricut cartridge.

We used the CTMH Designed Décor Flip Stand Album (#Z1896) on which to place the pages of this album.

Hope you will let me know if you liked this project by leaving a short comment.

Simple Pleasures and Priceless Treasures

Happy Monday morning!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready to tackle a new week.  I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend.  For one thing, I had the opportunity to attend a Close To My Heart Creative Day workshop where I made the above winter layout.

All the shapes were cut with the CTMH Artiste Cricut cartridge.

We used the Frosted Workshops on the Go Scrapbooking kit (G1070) to make this beautiful layout. The kit is packed with both cardstock and designer paper sheets, Sparkles Flourishes, Frosted assortment of embellishments and the Frosted stamp set.

Have a great week!

Merry Christmas

It always feels good when Friday comes around, but today is even more special!

I have my blog back after a week of being unable to post anything.  With the help of my son-in-law I am now able to continue with my blog.  I want to share this Merry Christmas layout created with the Close To My Heart Artbooking cartridge.

The overlay is an assortment of Christmas ornaments which is fantastic.  I love all the overlay images on this cartridge.

It's not Christmas yet but I feel I got a gift just by being able to open my blog site again.  Thanks for coming back to visit and have a blessed weekend!

Halloween CandyTreat Boxes

EEK! . . . Hi everyone and welcome!

Another week has gone by so quickly and soon we'll be celebrating Halloween.  I made a couple of boxes and  decorated them with the Halloween and Fall stack by DCWV.

Cute stickers by Studio G were added to the boxes.

Each box holds enough candy to give you a tummy ache (lol).

This candy holder is also a card that can hold a gift card or cute sentiment inside.  Hope you enjoyed these Halloween treats.  Have a safe weekend!

BOO !

Happy Wacky Wednesday everyone!

I am loving my new cartridge, Artbooking by Close To My Heart.  It is packed with great layouts and images.  This layout was made using the sample on page 71 of the instruction booklet.

The orange background overlay is cut at 11 inches and so are the rest of the images.  The cartridge automatically cuts the corresponding images to the appropriate size.  How great is that!

Believe me I am enjoying this cartridge abundantly.

The package sells for $99 but it includes 3 stamps sets each valued at $17.95, three sheets of decorative chipboard, and of course the Artbooking cartridge.  I recommend you place this cartridge on your Christmas wish list.

Carnival Cruise Scrapbook

Good Monday morning!

Today I want to share this 9-1/4" x 8-1/2" bamboo photo album I bought on board the Carnival ship to the Bahamas.

As I started to decorate it, it was a joy to see how well the pages came together using the designer paper "Beaches of the World" by Paper House.  I also used stickers by Jolee's boutique.

I lined the pages with colored card stock and included pockets for tags and photos.

Eventually I will place my pictures from the Bahamas on these beautiful scenes.  I added flaps to most of the pages for more photo space.

I used as many scraps as possible on the flaps.

On these two pages I placed the flaps on the bottom to store more photos.

The album has 22 pages and I'm only half ways done, but I wanted to share this project with you.

This this how the album looks like without the decorative paper.  Hope you will take time to leave me a comment.

Fun & Sun

Oh my, another week has slipped by!

Time seems to be passing by very quickly.  Just a month ago our family was in the Bahamas.  My granddaughter Angie enjoyed the beach at Half Moon Cay and in these pictures I think we captured her delight.

The title Fun and Sun was cut with the Close To My Heart Artbooking cartridge and then I added Diamond Stickles.

Here is Angie with her daddy having fun in the sun. Both the designer paper, Beaches of the World, and the 3D stickers are by Paper House.

Our day was fantastic on this paradise beach.

Halloween Cards

Hello and welcome!

Halloween is just right around the corner and I made three cards for the occasion.  I recently bought the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board and used it to make these cards.

Besides making envelopes you can create mini folders.  Kathy Orta has a tutorial on how to create these cute folders.

I used the Halloween and Fall stack by DCWV to decorate the cards.

On the inside there's space for a message or a photo.

On the front of this folder I cut off half to make the tab shorter.

For the inside I created tags for photos or spooky messages

to fit in the card.

I enjoyed making these envelope cards and will probably make some for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
