Paper Sack |
Here is what you will need to make these decorative sacks. Paper lunch sacks you can get at the 99 Cent Store or Dollar Tree. I used a retired snowflake punch by Stampin' Up and a bone to fold and crease the lunch sack.
Fold the top of the sack over to create a 3-inch flap.
Use a snowflake punch and punch three snowflakes across the flap.
Cut a piece of designer/decorative paper into a piece 3 1/2" long and measure your bag for the width size.
Punch one end of this piece with any edge punch you have and then adhere the piece to the inside of the flap, leaving about 1/2" sticking out from the bottom of the flap.
I used snowflake dies by Sizzix and cut out two different sizes.
Glue them to the front of the sack with your favorite adhesive. With a rectangle hand-held punch two holes and tie the bags with a ribbon.
Large Snowflake die (#113460 $15.95) and Small Snowflake Sizzlets (#113449, $19.95 set of 4) |
Here are my three sacks, now all I have to do is bake some cookies, mmmm
Better Homes and Gardens publication |
I bought this fantastic magazine packed with dozens of great food gift ideas and recipes. It cost $9.95 at Target but I also found it at Sam's Club for even less. I will try to post a couple of more ideas from this book.
Ciao everyone, hope you have a great weekend and don't forget to set your clocks back an hour on Saturday night.
