Scallop Circle Roses Picture Frame

I think this picture frame is so pretty and with a picture of a loved one, it will be a very cherished Christmas gift.

I bought the picture frames at the Dollar Tree (can you tell I'm a frequent buyer) for only $1.  The photo frame holds a 3.5 x 3.5 picture, and it can be hung by the ribbon that is attached or it can be stood on an easel.  

Here are the instructions on how to make the paper roses:

1 1/4" Circle Punch (#119861, $15.95)

I used scraps of Pretty In Pink card stock and punched a hole with the 1 1/4" circle punch.

1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch (#119854, $16.95)

Then with the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle align it over the circle and punch it out.

Sponge the edges with Cajun Craze (#119671, $5.95) classic ink pad.

With scissors cut between the scallops at an angle.

Curl the edges of the scallop circle back using your fingers.

 

 Now roll up with a Quilling tool or a bamboo stick.

Small Circle Punch (#119869, $5.95)

Let the rose relax to desired shape and punch a 1/2 " circle for the base.

Glue the outside tag to keep rose together, then glue the rose to base and let dry. I used Tombow liquid glue. When dry, cut the base circle close to the rose.

Little Leaves (#114511, $5.50)

With a scrap of Garden Green card stock and the Little Leaves Sizzix  Sizzlits die, cut out 2 sets of the leaves on the Big Shot.

Once all your roses are ready you can start gluing them to the picture frame.  I used Tombow Liquid glue.



 

Beautiful Wings (#118138, $11.95)

On this frame I used the Beautiful Wings embosslits to decorate it.  Which one do you like best?
