Hi there and welcome my blog friends!
I'm trying to get away from Halloween, but this pumpkin box can be used either for Thanksgiving or Halloween. You can fill this cute pumpkin with lots of candy for Halloween, but for my post today I'm making it for Thanksgiving.
I used the Fancy Favor die by Stampin' Up to cut and form the box.
Here's a quick tutorial on how to put together the top note pumpkin:
Using the top note die, cut three (3) on the Big Shot. Take two of the top notes and cut them in half as shown above.
Take one of the halves of the top note and run it through the Big Shot again, placing it as shown. The piece that is formed will be the center part of the pumpkin as seen below.
The first piece is the center piece we just cut.
The second top note that was cut in half is next.
Each half was trimmed an additional half-inch and you can toss those two pieces away.
The last full top note is the base of the pumpkin.
Take the four parts and distress them with brown ink.
Adhere the two halves to the full top note.
Next, place the small top note to the center to complete the pumpkin. Used the Round Tab punch and brown card stock to form the stem of the pumpkin.
Added a couple of leaves cut with the Little Leaves sizzlits die. I thought of using my pumpkin to hold the silverware at my Thanksgiving table. Now to make another five or more before Thanksgiving gets here.
This is the side view and that's it for this tutorial. If you have any questions, please contact me. I would love to read your comments.
Have a great day and thanks for visiting.
