Happy Halloween!!
I found this tutorial on how to make a side-step card on Mary's blog @ http://cardztv.blogspot.com/. Her card was super cute, and I was inspired to make my own.
I used the Create a Critter 2 cartridge to make the cute witch owl, pumpkin, tree and the Happy Halloween verse. The background paper is the Halloween Borders by Recollections.
This is a photo of how the step card looks before you decorate it. The base is 5 1/2" by 8 1/2", scored at 2" on the long side, turn then scored at 4 1/4" across. The following score lines only go up to the 2" score line: 2 1/4", 5 1/4",
6 1/4" and 7 1/4". Make a cut from the 2 1/4" to the 7 1/4" score lines along the left 2" side. That is the only cut you need to make. Then accordion fold starting with a mountain fold, then valley and so on. Crease all folds and then you're ready to decorate.
Looks a bit complicated but its not.
Have a fun weekend and please come back on Monday.
