KEY HOLDER

This is a project that I was inspired to make a few days ago.  It is made with chipboard, brown and red card stock and a 12 x 12 cork tile which is cut at 5-3/4" x 8-3/4".  To hang my key holder I used crochet lace ribbon.
T
The key border was cut at 2" from the Wall Decor and More cartridge by Provo Craft. The vanilla background CS and the letters were embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder by Stampin' Up.  The letters "Keys" were cut at 2" from the Plantin Schoolbook cart.  Then I distressed the embossing with Tim Holtz' vintage photo ink.  The flowers are from Recollections.

I added clear pins embellished with Floral Embellishments by Recollections to hold the keys.  Then adhered some small post notes to the cork with sticky tape.
The tag has an imprinted key on it and it a says, "Be worthy of your ancestors."
The metal key is glued to a small clothes pin.
My inspiration to make this key holder came from the "NEW" Stampin' Up Idea Book and Catalog which becomes effective on July 1, 2011.  It is packed with great stamp sets, embellishments, die cuts, punches and awesome samples of cards, scrap pages and 3-D projects.

The idea to make the key holder is found on page 151 of the catalog.  As soon as I saw this project, I knew  I was going to tweak it.  I added the feminine touch to my creation and love the way it turned out.
Now to search thru the catalog for more inspiration.

I will be holding an Open House on Saturday, July 9th from 11 am -5 pm to introduce the new products from Stampin' Up's 2011-2012 catalog.  For more information check the right side of my blog under "My List of Classes."

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  Have a great day and come back again.
