CHA Show Make and Take Projects

Welcome!

This has been a very exciting week for me.  I am attending the CHA Show here in Las Vegas, Nevada and yesterday was a day filled with creativity.  Many of the vendors have Make and Take projects and I was able to make the above items.

I want to share a few of my favorites.  This is a mini canvas titled WISH.  I kind of "wish" this week wouldn't end.

Love this little box.  I learned some new techniques which I plan to use again.

I was surprised how easy this bracelet was to make.  It came out so pretty.  I just might take up jewelry making.

Very cute Christmas card that opens up.

Here's a Graphic 45 tag that we made with the Steampunk Spells paper line.

And lastly this pretty heart necklace.

This was a day of pure enjoyment!

Spellbinders Media Mixage

Happy Monday everyone!!

Today was the first day of the CHA Show here in Las Vegas, Nevada.  I was fortunate to be able to attend thanks to Jennifer Pereida the owner of the Crafting Place.  I registered for the Spellbinder class on Media Mixage and this is the project I completed--a fabric journal.

This cute little birdhouse is attached to the closure of the journal.

Even though this was a fast-paced project I loved the final outcome.  This was a new experience for me using several different techniques and tools.

And who doesn't love FREE product!  We were treated to all these packages of the Media Mixage.  This is a three-day event and I am thoroughly looking forward to tomorrow.

Halloween Mini Album

Happy Friday!

While shopping at my favorite scrapbook stores this week, I noticed that they are already displaying both Halloween and Christmas products.  Seeing the Halloween displays motivated me to work on this mini album.

I used the Halloween stash that I had left over from last year.  The designer paper is a 6-3/4" by 4-3/4" mat pad by Martha Stewart.

I used stickers by Recollections to decorate my album.  The side tabs open up and you can place seven wallet-size pictures on either side.

On the bottom flaps you can get five more pictures matted.

Once I finished one album I couldn't stop there, so I made another one with a Valentine theme.

The base of the album is a 12" by 12" card stock and then decorated with several pieces of designer paper.

Hope you're motivated to start crafting for the upcoming holidays.  I'm thinking I will make a birthday theme album next.
Have a fun crafting weekend!

Artiste Cricut Birthday Cards

Good morning friends!

I have a few birthday cards made with the Artiste cartridge.  Using the "S" key you can make these neat swing cards.

For the hippo image I used the Close to my Heart stamp set "You're Great."

Here's another one with the verse "You're Great! (no lion)" from the same stamp set.

This cute little lion will bring a smile to any child.

For this last card I used a beautiful butterfly and some rhinestone swirls.

Thanks for visiting today.

Muslin Treat Bags

Welcome friends!

At my Close To My Heart hostess club meeting we made these pretty decorated muslin treat bags.

We used the CTMH drawstring muslin bags and decorated them with the For Always Textiles.  We also added black tulle and rhinestones.

These make great gift bags for jewelry, sweets or any small surprise for that special someone.  Have a blessed day!

Paper Doll Canvas

Hello blog friends!

Today I want to share a 5" x 7" canvas that I made at this weekend's crop at Michaels.  I decorated it with the Paper Doll stamp set by Close To My Heart.  I think she's very cute.

The product number for this stamp set is D1547.  She comes with three outfits and several accessories.

There's lots of bling on this cute canvas.  The wooden butterfly is by Recollections.

I really enjoyed playing with my paper doll, it brought back lots of memories of my childhood.  Have a blessed week and please come back and visit.

Life Is Good

TGIF!

I've had this beautiful Glam Rhinestone stack by DCWV for over a year and had not used it.  Recently, on the Craft Channel they featured this paper line.  I loved the page layout and I tweaked it to my liking.

This paper stacked is already decorated with lots of rhinestones.  The bright colors and designs are very pretty.

Hope you continue to have a safe and happy 4th of July weekend.

Artiste Purses

Good morning friends!

Here in Las Vegas, Nevada, we are suffering high temperatures of over 115 degrees.  Kind of keeps you inside the house which is good for us crafters I've been playing with the Artiste cartridge and these cute little purses were easy to cut.

I used cardstock from the Dream Pop collection by Close To My Heart and flowers by Recollections.  On this second purse there's a small pocket where you can slip in a gift card or some cash.

You can decorate these purses in so many ways.  They make great party favors, gift card holders or jewelry boxes.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July!

Our Wedding

Good Monday Morning!

It's good to be back after a week long of Vacation Bible School.  I had a really good time but I must admit it was very tiring.  Now back to my favorite hobby--scrapbooking!

Last year my granddaughters were flower girls in their aunt's wedding.

I tried my hand with the templates from Kiwi Lane Designs which I recently purchased.  I liked the templates, but I can tell I need to practice more with them.  You can go to http://kiwilane.com/ to view the beautiful layouts that can be created with these templates.
