This Nest Is Blessed

Good Morning friends!!

A few weeks ago all six of my grandchildren participated in Vacation Bible School (VBS) and it was one of God's blessings to see the joy they experienced. 

I was part of the VBS craft crew along with Gloria and Patty who worked so hard to decorate the room and prepare the crafts for over 60 children.

Brianna, my granddaughter, was one of the teenage volunteers who did an outstanding job in helping with all the children.  Together we did a small skit from the Book of Daniel which I'll never forget.

My Story

Happy Friday!

How quickly this week has gone by.  I've been reorganizing my craft room and I came across this pretty paper which unfortunately I don't know who made it.  I also found embellishments I had forgotten I had.  The title "My Story" is a glitter word sticker by MeLody Ross.

The large flower is by Heart to Home @ http://www.teriathearttohome.blogspot.com.  The smaller flowers were another embellishment I found but don't remember where I bought them.  I used the Little Leaves sizzlet by Stampin' Up.

I love to blog hop and on one of my favorite sites I saw the ek Lily Pad punch @ http://beatrizguzman58.blogspot.com/.  I could not resist buying the punch for my own use, so I did.  The scallop edge corner punch and the butterfly punch are by Stampin' Up.  The white butterflies were embossed with the Swiss Dot embossing folder.

Christmas in July

Good Monday morning friends!

With temperatures over 104 degrees here in Las Vegas its hard to think about Christmas.  I attended a crop at my local Michaels Store and the free make and takes focused on Christmas so that's why I'm posting Christmas in July.  This Christmas layout was made with DCWV Tis The Season paper stack, Bazzill cardstock and Recollections stickers.

The second free make and take was this Christmas gift bag.  I'm ready to wrap my first Christmas gift!  This was the first time I had attended a Michaels crop, but it will definitely not be the last.  When you sign up for their crops you also get a free gift and 10% off any products you buy while at the crop. 

I also worked on some of my own layouts which I'll share with you during the week.

Butterfly Picture Frame

Hello everyone!

For some reason butterflies make me happy.  Sometimes I think they remind me of my mother and remembering her brings me happiness. 

I made this project using a 4 x 6 inch wooden frame from the $1 bin at Michaels.  When decorated, these frames make great gifts.

I used paper from the Ciao Bella stack by DCWV and then added adhesive chipboard butterflies by K and Company.

The Wedding

Good Monday morning!

Several weeks ago my granddaughters were flower girls in their aunt's wedding.  It was a very beautiful wedding and Angie and Natie looked very pretty in their dresses.

Mon Ami Gabby layout

A few weeks ago I attended the Creating Keepsakes Expo here in Vegas and I loved all the creative ideas.  One of my favorite vendors was http://www.monamigabby.com/.   This was a layout kit I bought from them.

The center photo mat and tag were not part of the kit but everything else was included.  The journaling accents are by Colorbok.

Cupcake Mini Album

"Sprinkled With Fun"

 

Good Monday morning everyone!

I love to make mini albums and making this cupcake was alot of fun.  On the front cover I cut "sprinkled with fun" from the Sweet Treats cartridge.  I make these mini albums to donate them for our annual Christmas Craft Fair at

St. John Neumann Church.
